Membrane filters are becoming the choice for depth media!
Historically, the use of microporous membranes has been restricted to ultrapurification applications such as parenteral drugs, medical devices, air monitoring, semiconductor rinse water, while depth filters have been used to meet general purpose particle filtration requirements. However, recent advancements in membrane technology in addition to the development of lower-cost manufacturing processes are making membranes not only the choice of newly-invented high-tech purposes, but also for diverse applications which often utilized depth media.
