Our extensive knowledge
of membrane is always
available to you through our Technical Services department. By purchasing from us, you
are assured of consistency
and reliability across all of
our membranes.

Our customer support specialists are available to work closely with you during the sampling process. To request a sample of our membrane products, please send an email letting us know of your specific filtration needs.
Our technical specialists provide one-on-one technical support for every phase of your filtration project.
At American Membrane Corporation, we also develop proprietary membrane or membrane products on a contractual or OEM basis for your special customized requirements.

Our Roll Stock
Roll Size: 500 millimeter maximum; 3 inch inner diameter core
Splices: Equivalent of one per 100 linear meters; standard 5% overage added to compensate for splices and defects
Slitting: 1/2" minimum width with 1/16" increments;
+/- 1/16" tolerances

The following information will help you select our best microporous membranes suitable for your applications. As always, when selecting filtration membranes, there are three key steps to consider:

ˇń Clearly define your application requirements
ˇń Choose a compatible membrane
ˇń Select the most effective and efficient pore size

For Filtration:

ˇń  Determine the particle size to be retained or filtered. Membrane will retain all particles equal
ˇˇ to and larger than their designated pore size.
ˇń  Assess the chemical compatibility of the membrane filter with the liquid or gas to be filtered.
ˇˇ Consider the chemical resistance properties of all parts that will contact the filter.
ˇń  Consider hydrophilic or hydrophobic membrane; temperature, flow rate, throughput, and
ˇˇ sterilization needs.

For Non-Filtration:
ˇń   Assess the interaction (e.g., adsorption or binding) of reagents to be used on the membrane
ˇˇˇˇwith surface chemistry of the membrane.
ˇń   Determine the chemical compatibility (e.g., background intensity) of the membrane with
ˇˇˇˇreagents to be used.
ˇń   Consider hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity, strength, and pore size of the membrane for
ˇˇˇˇprocessability.
